Quayclean Australia’s role as an infectious control specialist cleaning company has taken on added responsibilities as authorities in Victoria and NSW combat the further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Quayclean has been engaged by Victoria’s Department of Health and Human Services to support services in the fight against this pandemic.
Quayclean is also conducting regular high touchpoint cleaning at the Royal Melbourne Hospital’s City and Royal Park campuses plus assisting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre with concierge and deep cleaning services as part of the Victorian Government’s Hotels for Heroes emergency accommodation program which supports frontline workers who are required to quarantine or self-isolate, should they be unable to do so in their own home.
One of Quayclean’s biggest responsibilities is ensuring Victoria’s Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA), the state’s triple zero emergency communications centre, remains virus free.
Quayclean is also providing emergency deep cleans at facilities operated by Life Without Barriers and the team are on call 24/7 throughout Australia and have been busy in Victoria during the latest second wave.
Additionally, Quayclean staff have been called into swift action to attend to confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks at a range of schools and early learning centres in NSW and Victoria.
Quayclean Australia CEO, Mark Piwkowski, said he was proud how quickly his teams have marshalled staff to be deployed at short notice and conduct thorough deep cleans to help minimise the risk of further infection.
“We are living in extraordinary times and the response and level of commitment of our staff to help combat the virus has been exemplary,” said Piwkowski.
“Never before have we witnessed a viral war of this magnitude and I am proud of the systems, operations and staff we have in place to help new and existing customers through his crisis by providing expert deep cleaning services to disinfect and decontaminate these sites,” he added.
