A common theme throughout our training focus is the need for greater staff communication and engagement. Retention also remains a challenge for many in the cleaning industry due largely to the physically demanding nature of the role, the unconventional working hours and the lack of career development and professional pathways.
Workforce Guardian’s Charles Watson gives us a slightly different take on education, proposing that in order to develop and improve workplace culture (and subsequently improve retention), business owners and managers need to develop their own skills.
