OCS acquires Linfoot Cleaning Services

OCS has acquired one of Western Australia’s larger independent contract cleaners, Linfoot Cleaning Services and, in turn, that company’s NSW operation, Linway Cleaning Services. While both parties would not comment, INCLEAN understands the deal was completed late December 2009 with appropriate merging of resources taking place over the past few weeks.

With a marketing tag line ‘Whatever it takes’, Linfoot was established in 1968 by Bob Linfoot and in recent years managed by son Lindsay Linfoot (pictured).

OCS Australia and OCS New Zealand are subsidiaries of the giant UK-based international multi-service provider OCS. Another OCS arm, Cannon Hygiene, also operates in Australia and New Zealand.

Unlike major player OCS NZ, OCS Australia has had a relatively low market profile after many years of trading. However, perhaps now it is in a position to capitalise on Linway’s growing presence in Australia’s largest market, New South Wales.
