Complete and SSN merge customer bases

Parramatta-based (Sydney) distributor Strategic Sales Network (SSN) has merged with St Peters-based (Sydney) Complete Cleaning Supplies. In essence, Complete and SSN customer bases have been integrated together with key staff.

For Complete, this latest initiative could mean adding immediately some 30 percent to its existing customer base. “Stuart (Nicol) and I have had discussions for quite some time about a possible merger, but it was always put in the ‘too hard basket’. I believe many distributors are struggling with high overheads and low margins – always a serious point of discussion in any get together,” explained Complete principal Lynne Wilcox.

“Strategic has had some administration challenges in the past six months – enough to be the catalyst for a change, and we think for the best of all concerned. We all feel extremely confident that our combination of skills will enhance Complete’s ability to cover a multitude of markets and have substantial growth in the coming years,” she added.

All future ‘merged’ activities will be conducted out of Complete’s St Peter’s facility with SSN principal Stuart Nicol joining the Complete team as senior sales consultant. SSN’s Parramatta warehouse will close during April with remaining unsold stock to be brought to St Peters.
