Clean Green Afidamp awards to IPC Gansow, Activeion and Sutter

The 2010 Clean Green Afidamp Awards for eco-design and innovation in the environmental sustainability field of professional cleaning have been secured by IPC Gansow’s ECS Eco Cost Cleaning Solution (machine category); Activeion for its Ionator EXP (equipment category) and Sutter Professional’s Ecocaps (chemical category).

All award participants - Activeion (Europe) Gmbh, Adiatek srl, Biomeco, Dyson srl, Emb di Bergamaschini Alfonso, Eudorex srl, Eurven srl, Falpi srl, IPC Gansow, Karcher Spa, Lavorwash Spa, and Mediclinics - received a plaque, 'the plate of candidates'. Those companies “accepted with courage and through investment in research and innovation - a factor that should not be underestimated, particularly in a period of economic crisis such as the one, we hope, we have just left behind,” stated Stefania Verrienti, AfidampFAB's secretary.

The jury, which comprised experts in the environmental sector, representatives from the industry, end-user representatives and qualified technicians, selected winners from three categories being machines, equipment and chemical products.

It also singled out for a special mention, Falpi, which presented Ecolabel’s 'moisten clothes'. The jury felt that this company had, "shown a constant commitment in designing low environmental impact solutions, and to propose itself as a leading company in the field of professional cleaning in the environmental area, thus utilising challenging tools such as the European Ecolabel."

IPC Gansow’s ECS Eco Cost Cleaning Solution hard floor cleaning system offers an 80 percent saving of water in comparison to traditional systems. The jury was impressed by its ChemDose system, which reduces the use of chemical detergents, and its Battery Life Save system, which increases battery life by 30 percent or more.

Activeion GmbH’s Ionator EXP manual application equipment ionises tap water through electrolysis of the stream of water, converting it to a powerful detergent and thereby eliminating the use of chemical products while destroying up to 99 percent of hazardous bacteria.�

Sutter Professional’s Ecocaps is a line of pre-measured hydro soluble capsules corresponding to an exact product dose, which avoids waste and pollution of the environment.
